Injured Bald Eagle To Get Permanent Home

(Whitehouse, OH)  A bald eagle found with serious injuries in Wood County will soon have a new home.

Nature's Nursery officials say the female eagle will leave this weekend for a wildlife nature center in southern Ohio, which is building a special enclosure for her.

The eagle was brought to the wildlife hospital in Whitehouse with a badly injured wing that left her unable to fly.  The eagle underwent  months of treatment for that injury along with a puncture wound the the chest.

The female eagle was one of more than 2,800 wild animals treated at Nature's Nursery this year.
