Race Against Clock as Ohio May Primary Approaches

(Toledo, OH) Candidates for governor, congress, and the statehouse are criss-crossing Ohio leading up to the May primary.

Republican Attorney General Mike DeWine and running mate Jon Husted, Ohio’s secretary of state, plan a “Rock Solid Conservative” tour rallying supporters in a dozen counties today through Monday.

On the flip side, Democrats are highlighting what they say is a “culture of corruption” among the Ohio GOP. Both parties will work hard to get their messages out to voters ahead of Tuesday's primary elections.

In Lucas County, interim Democratic party chairperson Sandy Isenberg will be joined by her party's Ohio Statehouse slate at a Friday press conference, hoping to get out the vote at the Lucas County board of elections this weekend. Early, in-person voting continues through Monday.
